Art & Design Studio of Rockland

With guidance from the instructor, students can select the subject and medium of their choice for each of their projects.

All Art Class options include:

FINE ART
We teach a variety of fine art styles - from Photo Realism to Impressionism and subject matter, such as portraiture, landscape, figures, wildlife, still life, superheros, and cartoon characters, to name a few. Oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, pen & ink, animation cels, scratchboard, colored pencils, and opaque inks are the more popular mediums we teach. High school students create artwork for their college entrance portfolios.

GRAPHIC DESIGN AND COMPUTER ART
Graphic design and computer art are part of our general art classes. Students
can work on projects, such as logo design, advertisements, illustration,
posters, book covers and packaging. Students' computer projects are printed with
our photo quality printer. These beautiful prints make an impressive addition to the college entrance portfolio.

CLAY SCULPTURE
Clay sculpture is part of our art classes. Students are instructed in
the basic techniques of making clay sculpture both in the round and in relief.
They learn how to work with clay tools and their hands to create their projects.

FASHION DESIGN
Fashion design is part of our art classes. Students learn how to illustrate the fashion figure, including body proportions, hands, feet, faces, and hair. We show students how to achieve a fabric look in various mediums, and guide them in creating their own fashion collection.
